Ceramic artist LIU Yan Ting 劉艶婷 currently lives in Guangzhou and graduated from Shantou University with a major in public art. Her works havebeen exhibited in China and Hong Kong. In 2016, she founded her own ceramic studio. In LIU’s creation, she added silver powder in . The silver powder looks restrained through continuous polishing, and it will also change with the oxidation of the years. Her porcelain creations are designed in irregular geometric shapes, showing extraordinary visual effects.

The silver color on the surface is made with her recipe of mixing pure silver powder with orange essential oil, which is safe for food. The surface is full of texture but is smooth to touch. These high-fired porcelain slab can be used as placemats for teaware or to serve food directly on it. They are heat and water resistant.
